Rocklin Library Dedication - December 13, 2010

Our new library was officially dedicated on Monday, December 13th.  We were so happy to have such a large turnout.  While no books or media are on the shelves yet, the library staff are working hard to make sure the opening date of Monday, January 10th, 2011 happens.

Pictures from the dedication and of the new library can be found on the site below.  Just click on the link and click on the SLIDESHOW option to see a slideshow of the pictures in a larger format.

Message from the President

Construction on the new library started at the end of April.  It was a great moment, finally we are seeing the progress that we have been looking forward to for so long.

Work on the construction is progressing well - right now it looks more like destruction - but soon we should be able to see the architectural plans taking shape.  We are living exciting library times!

The Rocklin Friends are working on organizing a fundraiser for the Grand Opening Day Library Collection.  We are just starting our work and we will keep everybody apprised of our progress.

When the new library is ready to be occupied, there will be plenty of opportunity for volunteer work:  moving, landscaping, organizing, fundraising, etc.  We can make this library a community effort that everybody will be proud of.

Francine Yorde, President
